At Pediatric Neurology of Jacksonville, we provide on-site EEG testing for children, saving you from long hospital wait times, potential exposure to hospital germs, and the stress that a hospital visit can cause. Our experienced and certified technician will ensure your child feels at ease in our familiar office setting!

What is an EEG?
An Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a painless and noninvasive test that captures brain activity through sensors on the scalp. An EEG records the brain’s electrical signals by placing electrodes on the scalp, producing a visual representation of brain wave patterns that helps doctors identify abnormalities associated with conditions like epilepsy, sleep disorders, and brain tumours.
For extended EEG monitoring that includes nighttime recordings, we offer the convenience of setting up the study in your own home. This allows your child to continue their usual daytime activities and sleep comfortably in their own bed, avoiding overnight hospital stays. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions.
